Reinforcements have appeared! Sher came home and Grammie and Papa have come to visit, and help celebrate Ang’s Birthday. Of course our building project can’t stop, and Grammie and Papa became painters. The sheetrockers finished up yesterday, and we got started priming the whole house. Almost 20 gallons of primer have been sprayed through my new Wagner spray gun, and we probably have close to a 1/3 of the house left. We are painting the interior ourselves, so we can afford to paint individual rooms separate colors. We purchased 4 colors, 1 gallon each, and those rooms are ready to finish paint tomorrow. The Natural Gas got hooked up today, but we continue to have trouble getting electrical hookup. Given that they have a monopoly, we have little leverage.
We will continue painting tomorrow, and try to be in position for the finish carpenters who are slated to start putting up the tongue and groove pine ceiling material on Monday. He also will order and install the stair railing system, and install doors, millwork, etc.
